The Northern Greece Hellenic Society for Social Pediatrics and Health Promotion has undertaken the health care of the children population among the refugees, at Idomeni and Diabata hospitality camps, along with other healthcare associations. There is an increased need for support, due to the large number of children and the particular living arrangements. As part of this initiative, medical and medicinal equipment will be accepted during the entirety of the Symposium.
On the last day of IMEX Thessaloniki Convention Bureau invited hosted buyers and its members to the Greek Business Breakfast! An original networking event at the premises of Coco-mat store in Frankfurt with the taste of Greek hospitality!

The TCB is enhancing its participation in leading exhibitions for the travel industry and conference tourism, such as World Travel Market (2-5 November 2015) and IBTM World 2015 (17-19 November in Barcelona).
Throughout both exhibitions, TCB representatives attended scheduled meetings with international hosted buyers and dynamically promoted the city of Thessaloniki as an upcoming conference destination.
On the sidelines of the first day of Philoxenia on Thursday, the TCB and the Region of Central Macedonia has signed a memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation to promote Thessaloniki as a conference tourism destination.
The agreement, expected to identify the prospects and cooperation possibilities between the two bodies in their fields, will help create the necessary synergies to launch joint actions for the effective promotion and establishment of Thessaloniki as a conference destination and for strengthening the city’s infrastructure to support major international congresses and events.
The Thessaloniki Convention Bureau (TCB) has participated for the second time in the Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition to network and develop strategic partnerships to promote Greece’s northern city as a conference destination.
During the first day of the exhibition, TCB held a networking event with the Barcelona Convention Bureau entitled “Challenges for the Meetings Incentives Conferences & Events industry in Greece“. The event gave professionals the opportunity to network and exchange opinions on the fresh challenges congress tourism is facing in Greece.
On Friday, November 13, TCB took part in Philoxenia’s leading event “Destination Thessaloniki: 365 days of Meetings, Studies, Sports, Cruises & Health” on the panel “Meet in the Mediterranean”, featured by Elena Altemir, the International Promotion Manager of the Barcelona Convention Bureau and Sharon Landes Fischer, Head of Tourist Services in Tel Aviv.
